February 2001 BET Awards Rehearsal Look ::: Christina Aguilera
I'm loving this look--it's so ritzy-chic, like something you'd wear on vacation in the Hamptons. Christina's red, white and navy tie-necked halter is the standout piece, toned down with classic dark wash slim-fitting jeans with a low waistband, showing off her beautiful, curvy hips. I'm feeling the white newsboy cap with this one--it gives it a nice classy, on-the-cutting-edge finish. Most of all, I just adore the white molded pumps--so refined. Christina looks like a rich girl here. It's a beautiful look.

April 2002 Crossroads/Pepsi Promotion ::: Britney Spears
This is a trendy look (read: boho chic) but it's not surprising, considering Britney is quite trendy. The sheer red tunic with a puckered neck is flattering to Brit's complexion, as well as eye catching. I like the black lacy bra underneath, it's subtly sexy. The denim blazer and faded jeans are both cute and chic, but shouldn't be worn together. Some tailored white pants or khakis would have looked best. To me, that embroidered belt is somewhat ugly and would look better with a more understated look. Finally, with all she has going in this look, the wavy locks are distracting--I would have had her hair straightened for this one.
